Birthday Girl

Another year, another birthday, still 21.

This year I went to dinner with my family. Dad picked, and it was old-school Italian! We got steak! Best dinner ever! Then a waitress brought me a cupcake with a candle on it. It was dry, but I liked the sentiment.
Because just one photo of me blowing out a candle isn't enough. Consider it my belated birthday present to you.

(Oh yeah, my birthday is in September...so yeah, this is late.) Obviously I am still catching up on some posts I never did.

Remember the Heat

So far this year we have had very pleasant weather. Cool, but not horribly cold. This past week, it snowed, craziness on the road, and we were lucky to keep the degrees in the double digits.

Instead of lamenting the cold, why not remember how hot we were in the summer. And, post about stuff I should have months ago. And, remember why America rules!

This is my friend Lindsey. We went to the Air Show at Offut Airforce Base and saw planes rock the sky, and went inside them, and pretended to fly a helicopter. (That picture was taken by a friend and is still somewhere on her camera.)
This is where the bombs go on the plane. Hence, Lindsey is "the bomb!" Pun! It's funny because its a play on words!

This is a huge plane. What exactly it is, I do not know. But I do know that America rules, and our country can beat up any country it wants!

Smelling Good

Last week on Black Friday, I went shopping. But, I wasn't one of those crazy people willing to put my life in danger and go super early. There are few things that will get me out of my bed at a super early hour, and I guess not even shopping is one of them.

Anyway, I went later on in the day to avoid the crazies, and I was there to shop for others. That was my stated objective. However, I couldn't help but find things I liked. I didn't get them, but I did spend a lot of time hovering around the fragrances.

My favorite fragrance, (and not that I wear it often) is Light Blue. And on this day I also saw Acqua di Gioia. I sprayed a lot in the air to smell. Put some on...it was all good. I thought I was smelling quite lovely. One of those times when I felt cuter and fancier.

Then, later on that day we made over 100 enchiladas for a family affair. From scratch. And let me tell you. Ancho chilis stay with you days longer than the scent of either Light Blue or Acqua di gioia.
