Bits and Pieces

I've been listening to Wicked this Sunday. Not quite the MoTab, but its good. I am getting WAY excited to see it in personam. Is it June yet?

I was talking about dating with my home teacher today. He said there are so many good guys out there and not enough cool girls. I was like, well, I think there are some amazing girls in our ward that the guys here don't even deserve. We agreed to disagree.

Speaking of relationships. I am severely annoyed by smug married people. Why can they comment on my single life, but I can't say anything about their marriage? Because I totally could.

New note. I want a bike. I want it to be pretty. I had a bike. It was a cruiser. It was deathly trying to ride it up a mountain. I need to find a pretty bike, with gears. Possibly a basket. And I'll sing the "bicycle built for two" song as I ride it.

Did I tell you about the amazing girls I know? Two of them have Karaoke, and so this means we are having a party soon. Did I ever tell you how AWESOME I am at Karaoke? Because I am.

Also, the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. It was pretty warm here. Now its getting cold again. On that note, I looked at myself in the mirror the other day. I am white. Sun! Come back!

And come June! Sun! and WICKED!

I made it back to Wicked.

That is all. The End.

Forget You

Update on fun singles ward activities: Snow Ball March 12.

It is a guys ask girls dance (which, isn't that how it is supposed to be? Why do they have to specify?) Anyway, since the Turkey Trot--brilliant names all--was such a disaster, I was thinking of ways to get out of the Snow Ball. For instance, going out of town. Perfect excuse.

Know what else is going on March 12? The REX LEE RUN! Maybe I'll run that this year!

Is this too much to get out of a dinner/dance? Maybe. Is it presumptuous of me to even think someone will want to ask me out? Maybe.

But, to avoid an awkward night, AND cure cancer? Sounds awesome.

Also. I know all the lyrics to Forget You. I sang it to Ruben 3 times on the way home picking him up.

VD

On the ides of February I had a good day. It was a review for the test, so one boy in my first class asked if class could be a Valentines party. I don't know if you know this, but I'm all for people giving me treats. So of course I said go for it!

Come actual VD, only one girl in my 3rd class brings 2 bags of candy. And I got to take home the remainder. Now I know the joy my Daddy feels when his students bring him stuff.

As I was driving home, the weather was BEAUTIFUL! I'm really looking forward to Spring.

Finally, some cool girls and I hung out. There was a slight hiccup to our plans. Originally we were going to go to a cupcake hangout. But I was informed that it would be closing early. Boo! But then someone reminded me of RED MANGO.
Provo people know that there is no shortage of frozen yogurt places. But here in Omaha, the craze hasn't caught on. Except for a couple of Red Mango franchises. It was amazing to behold. I got myself a big old tin of it, and all it made me was thirsty...for more!
PS, Wicked is coming to town, and yours truly is getting tickets with friends. I can't tell you how excited I am! Maybe you'll get the jist if I just type a LOT of exclamation points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Down the Toilet

Last night I got so tired that I fell asleep. Crazy, you say? Well, I did so without my nightly routine of washing my face, brushing my teeth, taking out my contacts and changing into PJs. So when I woke up...whenever later I stumbled to the bathroom.

I was brushing my teeth when disaster struck. I was still half asleep. I think I might have been switching hands to brush the other side of my mouth. I can't say for certain, but I do know that somehow my toothbrush landed in the toilet.

My first thought was to flush it.

But, it wasn't your ordinary toothbrush. It was one of those that you plug in and charge and it swivels. So, to say the least, it would be hard to flush. So, I grabbed it out. Gross. Luckily, I have extra toothbrushes.

Yay me! Tomorrow is also VD awareness day. Is it wrong to hope that my students bring their professor chocolates and flowers like you would bring treats to your elementary teacher?

Winter

Here in Omaha, in the winter and it is 30 degrees out, apparently its warm enough to wear booty shorts.

I guess anything near or above freezing is awesome.

BUT, the gopher, or whatever it is that predicts the weather came out, so Spring is supposed to be here soon. I'm holding him to that. Otherwise, he's going to be dinner for a nice family in Council Bluffs.
