I went to a Relief Society thing where our lesson was about being positive. So here I am, trying to be positive. There are things that sucked about today, but here is a gem.
The last time I got my hair cut, I got bangs going straight across my face. Said bangs are now to my chin. That is how long ago I got my hair cut. I wanted to do it before I left Utah, but I felt like I ran out of time. Then I moved home and didn't know who to trust cutting my hair. Meanwhile, I was having Marsha Brady hair while growing out my bangs.
(Not my current haircut)
Well, my friend recommended a stylist for me and I booked a time. And the thing is, she is wonderful. She is great to talk to and very complimentary. I know hair people are trained to say things like, "Your hair is gorgeous!" and, "I could just touch your hair all day" and other such lovely things. But, the best one was when she was blow drying my hair and said, "This is your natural color? Its gorgeous, and (here it is) look, no grays!"
TA DA!
I'm a year older, and some days at work last year I'd think I'd notice a gray hair, but always be able to convince myself its just a very light brown or even blonde hair. But to hear it from a professional, I am very reassured I don't yet have gray hairs. Tender mercies.
