How Old Are You?

I don't think that anyone, including my students, would ever confuse me with a 16 year old. I may not look extremely young, but I hope no one thinks I'm too young to do my job.

So, how might I pretend to be older and more experienced without dressing like a middle-aged woman? This is what I've come up with so far.

1. Talk about my time in school or past experiences saying, "back in the day..."

2. Talk as though my summer internships were actual jobs I had, and stayed at longer than 10 weeks.

3. "Pretend" as though the electronics in the room are foreign objects that I don't know how to work.

I think its working.
