A few Tidbits

I'm not sure whether to think it funny or be offended that every time I start to sing to Gabby she puts out her hand and says, "bop it" (Stop it)

I miss Utah and the people in it. My friend asked when I was moving back, and I came this close to filling out job applications.

I went to Zumba tonight. There were mirrors. I dance like Liz Lemon. Tomorrow, dancing in the DeJong for Living Legends will be interesting.

I saw the Provo Tabernacle. It is officially burned.

It's a little weird being in Utah and realizing you don't live there anymore.

Tomorrow, I'm going to track down my crown. If someone paid me to wear it like it around all day, I think I would.

Pure Awesomeness

Not sure which is more awesome.

Option A:
Ralph Macchio, age 49 but not looking over 30 dancing on Dancing With The Stars

or

Option B:
Gabby dancing along to Dancing With The Stars.

I think the answer is clear.

Gabby sings and dances at random. She's basically living her own musical. Pure Awesomeness.

Back in Town!

I'm back in Utah! Some jobs are extra awesome because you still get Spring Break! Where do I go? Utah!

Here's how the drive went. In a nutshell, I tried to sleep during the drive from Omaha to North Platte, but I couldn't go to bed at 9 when I was 9, it is nearly impossible now.

From North Platte, NE at around 12:30 to Evanston, WY around 7:30 I drove on an Ipod's worth of songs, 32 oz or Diet Mt. Dew, and Sour Patch Kids.

Slept for another 2 hours into Utah. Felt like I was hit by a train. I do NOT want to do that again. Ever.

But, there are a ton of fun things to look forward to. Spending time with my nieces and siblings, friends, Living Legends Reunion and doing the finale, *wearing my Miss Indian BYU Crown, and Pow Wow!

* Subject to LaVay allowing it. And I might forget to give it back.

Embarrassado

I know that means, "I'm pregnant" in Spanish, but I refuse to quit saying that phrase. It's just too good. Anyway, I say that because I watch The Bachelor.

I stopped for one season, but it sucked me back in. I was for Barbie from the first show. AND HE PICKED HER. So there!

And, don't judge me, but after watching how he proposed to her, I am torn as to how I'd like to be proposed to. Like Emily, or like Elizabeth Bennet--Mr. Collins style.
And can I say how much I adore her hair here? (Brunette version for me).
I'm embarrassado to say that if they don't get married in a big whoop-de-doo like Kate & Wills, I'll be totally sad.

I Have Too Many Clothes

Or rather, I like to say, my closet is not big enough.

So, I bought a clothes rack to hold more. It is a 2 in 1, and usually does its job quite well. Tonight, drama.

It is almost midnight, and people are starting to think about going to bed. I am in my bed enjoying the night, when disaster strikes. My clothes rack snaps under the pressure and everything topples to the floor, taking down with it a lamp and some hair products on the dresser next to it.

I, of course, being drama-free and completely rational yell, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!" sending the family running.

Now, I have a bed full of clothes, and a foot of room on the side in which to sleep. Luckily, my niece Bella spent the weekend with us, and I am now used to sleeping on the edge of my bed!

Happy Fifth Birthday!

Last night I went to a surprise birthday party for an old friend. A bouncy castle was involved! I did squeals of joy and fear whilst jumping inside. And as we sat down and relaxed, I tried not to think of all those little kids who peed in there. . . or worse. Oh, and I stuck my tongue out at my friend who wouldn't come in the bouncy castle. Accidentally licked the net. So if I die of botulism, you know how it happened.

Also, I'm an Office nerd, so while I'm in the bouncy castle, I start singing this song.

Well, stick me in a bouncy castle, and give me cake late at night and I guess you produce a 5 year old. I tried to be like Jimmer, and after making a truly miraculous 3 (because I really wasn't aiming well) I did a little dance, and in my exuberance, tried to do a high kick. I can usually do them, but being that I was wearing skinny jeans, and I'm not so skinny anymore. . . I ended up doing a Charlie Brown. You know, where Lucy pulls the ball out from him while he's kicking and he ends up on his back. Yup, but don't worry, my huge bum breaks my fall.
So, sitting for 3 hours today in church, was not fun. Luckily I got the padded seats.

You Say Lazy Like It's a Bad Thing

I need to get my haircut. And one of the reasons why I don't get it cut every couple of months, is that I rarely do anything different. And I hate spending so much money getting my hair cut when no one can tell that I got it trimmed.

It's like, Do you notice anything different about me? Yes, I did brush my hair, but that's not it. Oh, you can't tell that 1/4 of an inch was cut from my hair? Rude! I'm offended! You don't notice that, but you notice how my pants are shrinking in the waist. Random.

I digress.

Also, I will be keeping my hair long. I know I dallied with the idea of short hair, but that was temporary insanity. Plus, I'm not sure the girl I get my hair cut from would advise it. Long hair is low maintenance. Short hair is high maintenance. With short hair, I couldn't just pull it into a bun, which I do often. It's a rare thing to see my hair done. And by done, I mean dried and straightened. My hair stylist girl caught on after meeting me in 5 minutes how lazy I am, but she said it more delicately.

I would rather sleep in than get ready. And if that means that I have 4 minutes after getting out of the shower to get ready for work, and therefore drive with the heater on high, aiming the air ducts at my hair as I drive in order to somewhat dry my sopping wet hair, then I do it. Much like I did this week.

I'm lazy, but at least I'm talented.
